37th Annual Feria del Libro

Every year, Buenos Aires plays host to one of the world's largest book fairs and attracts nearly one million attendees from across South America and the world. Those hosting lectures include prominent authors from Latin America, including Nobel Prize for Literature winner Mario Vargas Llosa. The event is held in La Rural and lasts two weeks. While most of the books were in Spanish, it provided an excellent opportunity to attend lectures, workshops and debates in a collegial environment. Many embassies, including the US, hosted booths with country-specific literature available. It's only 20 pesos for entry (students and teachers are free) and lasts until the 9th of May.
