Koh Larn, Thailand

Last weekend, I took a three-hour highway journey to the seaside resort town of Pattaya (in central Thailand), where I then hopped onto a 45 minute speedboat ride across the Gulf of Thailand to the remote island of Koh Larn. The island is only about four kilometers long and about two kilometers wide, and has about a thousand residents most of whom live in the main village called Naban. It has two beach fronts with wide areas and fine dirty white sand.

The beach was nice and quiet, and although there were beach vendors selling banana boat tours and jet ski runs (which I did), they left you alone. I even got to eat some freshly caught shrimp and fish before heading back to Pattaya.
