Tonight I went to a local pub in town to watch "Jazz for Juniors." This is a program my friend (and mentor) Billy Michael assembled in 1994 - bringing together kids in the region interested in performing music, and putting them on stage. Tonight, I brought my oldest friend from town, Dave, and his 11-year-old son, who is very interested in improving his saxophone skills.It was nice catching up with old friends (including June and Delores (Billy's mother) featured in the photo above) and watching some up-and-coming talent peform.
Tomorrow I will be hanging out with Doc and Jeanne for the day (at the pool) before packing and heading to Mexico early Thursday AM.
