Last night, my family gathered at M&D's house to celebrate my b-day. Since I didn't give them much advance notice that I was coming home (actually they had no notice), a bit of scrambling was required on their part- getting a cake (there must have been a run on the ones that said "Happy 30th" since the # of years on mine was obviously wrong.
After a pizza dinner (at a time far earlier than I'm used to eating dinner in BA), I headed out to that old American favorite, WalMart, to look for iPhone accessories. The next day (today), I woke up early and headed out for an afternoon of kayaking in Newtown with Billy and Rosaly. Later in the week, I'll meet up with a former colleague of mine and a longtime friend from my high school days.
