Taking advantage of the last day of the long weekend, I headed to San Telmo this afternoon. San Telmo is a very bohemian (and historical) barrio of Buenos Aires that is most popular on Sundays, when Calle Defensa (Defensa Street) turns into a pedestrian street filled with street vendors and cafes - a great place for a few liters of beer, some pizza and a hand rolled cigar from the Dominican Republic! While sipping beers in this hot weather, a group of Brazilian drummers paraded by, providing some free entertainment.
