Clarin, one of the country's largest newspapers, ran a story earlier this week indicating that 12% more US citizens moved to Buenos Aires in 2008 compared to 2007. The article goes on to quote one family from Portland who sold everything, left the country debt free, and moved here (like I did) until things get better in the states.Even with out-of-control inflation, things are still incredibly cheap for foreigners who are able to work remotely, earning a US salary. Every night, the top restaurants and bars are still overflowing and people are not afraid to splurge on luxury items here.
