Monday in March

The weather today was simply too nice to be holed up working in my home office, so I took the afternoon off, hopped on my bike and took some photos of some buildings and open spaces around my apartment. Most portenos take their vacations in the months of January and February so today was the first day back to work for many in the city and the streets were filled with businesspeople at lunch. There is a tremendous amount of open space in the city and the city planners did a very good job protecting it. Many streets in Recoleta are lined with old trees and an initiative was recently implemented to plant trees along the sides of most of those streets that are not. All of the photos here were taken within an eight block radius of my apartment. You can click onto any picture to get a closer look.
