United Buddy Bears

From March 5 to April 13, Plaza San Martin is home to 140 life size bears, each painted by artists representing the 140 countries of the United Nations. The project, created originally by the city of Berlin, Germany, is to promote living together in peace. The bears, arranged in a semi-circle, appear to stand together hand-in-hand, demonstrating unity. As part of the initiative, visitors to the exhibition can make a donation that goes to support UNICEF. The exhibit has already been on view in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia and now in South America for the first time. Click here for the official link.
